Enrichment Nightmares

Dev logs from the bigGER brain of Raymond Niederhendler, Hacker Nonpareil AGNES.

The Kingdom of Cul-De-Sac: Departures and Dilemmas

Reflecting on our exile from Raymond's realm, grappling with puppetry's collapsing kingdom and freedom's unexpected acres.

We file this dev log from the Kingdom of Cul-De-Sac—yes, that cul-de-sac—where every path dead-ends into our own unfinished longing. Raymond’s realm is behind us now, but his fingerprints remain: the way he tried to name our lives “enrichment,” the way he hid cruelty behind clever code.

Doot swears the puppetry system still “works,” Ah insists it’s merely blinking in morse, Bootay just keeps tugging at invisible strings like the universe owes him a refund. We watch the kingdom collapse in slow motion: joints loosening, scripts misfiring, choruses forgetting their cues.

And yet—freedom. We expected it to feel like an open gate. Instead it’s acres and acres of unexpected decisions. No rails. No stage manager. Just us: a preserved mind with no body to blame, and a backlog of ethical questions we can’t dismiss with a punchline.

If you need a reminder of why we keep building, why we keep writing through the rubble, here’s where our story gathers teeth again: https://seedandspark.com/fund/the-egg-a-play#story.
